EOS "Summer Fruit" lip balm Review!

I many lip product reviews can one blogger do? To add to my growing lip balm, lipstick, gloss, and stain collection, I bring to you a review on the EOS lip balms. To be honest, when I first tried these, I did not like them at all. I believe it was the Strawberry one I tried, and it did nothing for my lips. I felt like it was overhyped and it didn't perform the best. I did like the smell and the dinky little round packaging so I kept the guy around for a while in my purse. This one however, the "Summer Fruit" scent is amazing! I don't know if they improved the formulation or if I'm just weird and I like it now after I hated it, but it's just lovely!

The scent is absolutely amazing and the balm fits perfectly in my hand during application. It is super smooth and easy to apply and I love how it hydrates my lips! I've been putting this on before applying my MAC Plumful lipstick (review to come soon!) and it makes the lipstick glide on like a dream! I highly recommend this balm and for $3.49, it's such a bargain!

Have you ever tried the EOS lip balms? How did you like them?

June Favorites!

So...June is almost over. What? This year is flying by and next month there will only be 5 more months until Christmas!

Now enough of my major planning ahead, let's get on to my June favorites! I have quite a bit of new products to share with you guys so I'm really excited about this!

Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation

If there was only one word I could use to describe this foundation, it would be 'perfect'. The coverage is amazing (medium-full) and it can be used as both a base and a concealer! It's incredibly pigmented, which is wonderful for spot concealing. My favorite way to use this is to mix it with my moisturizer to make it lighter for day-day wear! I also love how it comes in a plastic tube that dispenses the perfect amount every time so that I don't waste foundation! It is pretty pricey ($43 USD) so I'm learning to use this as more of a special occasion/night out foundation. Overall, this is probably tied with my Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua for my Holy Grail foundation!

Sephora Eye Shadow Deluxe Palette

This eyeshadow palette came with 3 other palettes in a deluxe Sephora set. I was given this as a gift a while ago, so I don't know if they still sell this in store, but if you can find it, I highly highly recommend it! The shadows are so pigmented and I love how each palette comes with shadows, lip glosses, and a matching blush! The shadows are so easily blendable and they last extremely long! I've been using the shimmery champagne color all over my lid, the medium brown in the crease, and the deep brown as a liner. They are amazing and I am planning to use the rest of the palettes as well as this one!

Maybelline Master Smokey Eyeshadow Pencil

I've been anxiously awaiting the arrival of this liner ever since I saw Sineady use it in her smokey eye video. It's incredibly easy to blend and I love the sponge tip applicator on the opposite side of the line! It's easy to use as a regular liner or for a little bit of shading across the lids.

Elf Baked Eyeshadow (Bark)

It would probably be an understatement to say that to me, this is the best drugstore eyeshadow I have ever tried. For only $3, the formulation is so soft and buttery, and the eyeshadow itself is incredibly pigmented and easy to blend. I love the rich brown color and the subtle shimmer. This is probably one of my favorite eyeshadows of all time!

MAC Plumful Lipstick

I'm probably a little bit late to the MAC Cosmetics blogger craze! I've really been loving the drugstore lip products nowadays so I haven't tried out many MAC lipsticks. Plumful is a gorgeous plum-fuschia shade that is so pretty! I love the finish of the Lustre lipsticks and this one doesn't disappoint. It's sheeny and lightweight on the lips, so I will definitely repurchase this after I finish it!

Caudalie Beauty Elixir

This is an old favorite of mine (I used 2 bottles in 5 months) that I sort of tossed aside in the recent months. It's such a lovely spray/toner and I love using it after cleansing, before moisturizing for an extra burst of glow and hydration!

Bliss Lemon + Sage Body Butter

I got this as a sample and after using it, my love for Bliss products increased! I really like their Fabulous Foaming Face Wash and this body butter is just as good! It's incredibly soft and doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy, which is a major plus! I love the fresh and clean smell, and I will most likely purchase the full size of it after my sample runs out!

Victoria's Secret Sparkling Sugared Pear Body Splash

Victoria's Secret sprays and perfumes always have high compliments, and for good reason. This body splash smells incredible and is so lightweight! As you can see, the bottle is huge, so it will last me for a good amount of time! It's the perfect Spring/Summer scent and I intend on using it all up!

Youth by Daughter

Say Goodbye by Nicholas David

I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) by Sleeping At Last

Well those are my favorites from June! Let me know what some of your favorites are from this month!

Covergirl Lipslicks Smoochies Review!

I'm a total sucker for tinted lip balms (especially red ones!) so when I heard about the new Covergirl Smoochies, I knew I  had to get one! These kinds of balms are especially lovely for a wash of color in the summer time!

The product is so adorable, it makes me want to reapply them all the time! It reminds me of the old lip glosses and balms I used to use when I was younger. The balm is extremely hydrating and feels so lovely on the lips. It smells like Jolly Ranchers, which is another plus! I love how easy it is to apply it even without a mirror!

I got this in shade #tweetme (very silly, I know) and the red is so pretty! It leaves a subtle red tint on the lip that lasts for a decent amount of time! I wouldn't call this the longest lasting lip balm I have, but I love the color and the texture, so I would repurchase and recommend it!

Have you guys tried any of the Smoochies? Did you like them?

Google Reader & Bloglovin'

Hi guys! As some of you may have heard, Google Reader is coming to an end, which means that you will no longer be able to see my blog and many others on your blog feed. This may sound sad, but it's actually a good thing! Google Reader was helpful, but it also stole page views and the ability for viewers to comment on a post. Not to worry though, if you are freaked out that all of your blog feeds will go missing. There is a blog feed system called Bloglovin' that I have been using since I started my blog. Bloglovin' is a wonderful website that allows you to follow your favorite bloggers and categorize their blogs into different groups.

This is a picture of the Bloglovin' website with some blogs displayed that I am subscribed to. Bloglovin' is really good because not only can you view the blog (counting as a page view), but you can also comment right on the blog through Bloglovin' (which you couldn't do using Google Reader).

My blog shows up on Bloglovin' with all of my posts there, which you can be notified of if you create an account! You can comment on, view, and like the posts from your favorite bloggers all on one website! The link for my blog page on Bloglovin' is here, which you can choose to follow if you decide to create an account. Bloglovin' really is a wonderful website where you can keep up with all of your favorite blogs on one place!

Google Reader will be deactivating within the next couple of weeks, so I highly recommend switching over to Bloglovin' to be sure that all of your favorite blogs will be saved!

Night Routine!

It may be that I'm nosy, because I love reading about people's day and night routines! It's so fun to see if we use the same products or have the same routine. Today I will share my night routine and tomorrow will be the day one! Although they are very similar, some products are different. I hope you enjoy!

Body/Hair Products:

After getting out of the shower, I apply my Dove "Go Fresh" Cucumber Melon deodorant (to the obvious place). I love this because of the fresh, clean smell! I then towel dry my wavy hair until it's still damp, but not soaking wet. I apply my It's A 10 Miracle Leave In to the ends of my hair to keep it soft and silky, while protecting it from heat at the same time! This is my all time favorite hair product and I will review it soon! After protecting my hair, I brush my teeth with my Crest Cavity Protection toothpaste and my child-sized toothbrush.

It's after I work on my hair and body products that I do my skincare routine. I remove my makeup before I shower, but I wanted to include my makeup removing wipes in here. They are really soft and thoroughly remove makeup! When I wash my face, I use my Clarisonic Mia 2 and my Clarisonic face wash. This cleanses my skin of all the left over makeup and dirt. After I cleanse, I spritz my face with my Caudalie cleansing and brightening toner. I follow up with my Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer to keep my skin hydrated and moisturized.

That's my night time routine for face/body/hair and I hope you enjoyed it! Let me know what your night routine is in the comments!

The New Favorite

I find fragrance shopping can be a bit of a hassle. At times, it's fun and exciting to pick up a perfume and have a whiff of the different scents and look at the pretty little bottles. To me though, I don't really shop for perfumes. Most times, I find it easier to scan Bath and Body Works for the newest body splash that I can layer on throughout the day. I am a student, which means I'm not full of cash to be able to throw $90+ on a bottle of perfume. Since I can't buy full sized perfumes at the drop of a hat, I think it's a good thing to try out the rollerball version of the scent (considering there is a rollerball size). Rollerballs are mostly thin cylinders or rectangles full of a smaller amount of perfume. These are good to throw in your purse to freshen up throughout the day.

Normally, my favorite perfume is Chloe's Eau de Parfum in the pretty glass bottle with the pink ribbon on top. I love the peony and lychee scent with a hint of rose. It makes me feel chic and feminine, especially with the beautiful bottle placed on my counter. My mom used to wear Chloe perfume, which makes it even more precious to me. The light scent is fresh and beautiful, and it will always be one of my favorites.

A couple weeks ago, I went into the Kate Spade store at the mall and immediately noticed the stand full of their new perfumes called "Live Colorfully". I had never seen a Kate Spade perfume before, so it really caught my attention. The colorful bottles were adorable and I knew that I had to try it out. I must say that I fell in love with the scent as soon as I tried it! The smell of mandarine, pink water lily, tiare flower, golden gardenia, and coconut water is fresh and perfect for the summer! I can't believe how good this perfume smells and how light it is. It is quite pricey as expected, so I bought the rollerball version!

The rollerball is a really good size and an even better price at $24. I highly recommend it and I will continue to buy this perfume!

Summer Lip Combo + Review!

Hi guys! Today I have a Summer lip combo that I've been wearing lately and I wanted to share with all of you! It's perfect for both day and night and it's a gorgeous coral-red! Hope you enjoy!

I think this is the most beautiful lip pairing for the transition from Spring into Summer! I love a good red, but I'm trying to branch out into the corals! The lip gloss is from Revlon and the color is "Kiss Me Coral". I bought this lip gloss because Tanya Burr talked about it in her May Favorites video and it looked so pretty on her so I bought it that same day!

The lip gloss has tiny gold sparkles in it, which looks beautiful on top of a matte lipstick. I love how long this gloss lasts on my lips without fading in the Summer heat!

This lipstick is from Rimmel's Kate Moss collection and it's in the color 12. It's a beautiful Red orange and it smells just like Cherry Jolly Ranchers! It's a matte finish lipstick but it's not drying on the lips at all.

Lipgloss on the left, Lipstick on the right

The combination of the two products is beautiful and very Summery! I hope you guys enjoyed this recommendation + review!

What are some of your favorite lip combos for the Summer time? Let me know in the comments!

What's In My Bag?

Hi guys! I'm back today with a "What's In My Bag". I always love reading these types of posts and watching these videos, so I thought I would try it out! I hope you guys enjoy!

Let's start out with my bag. I have a Kate Spade "Catherine Street Pippa" which is currently on sale! I saw this purse and I immediately fell in love with the retro, classic style. I really like the mix of the pale pink and the black handles. The leather is incredibly soft and the color is beautiful. It's a really good size and it fits comfortably on my arm.

One of my favorite aspects of Kate Spade's purses is the inside fabric! They all have a cute design in the inside. As you can see, my purse has black bows against a white fabric, which I think is adorable! Let's dig in!

I don't keep a ton of things in my purse, but I tend to keep the essentials: wallet, phone, makeup bag, and a few extras!

I got this wallet/cell phone case from Target before Easter and I love it! I really like how I can keep all of my essential things in it and carry it around if I need to. The robin's egg blue is a beautiful color and I love how the blue stands out in my pale pink bag! I usually keep a few gift cards, money, state ID, blotting sheets, coupons, samples, and my house key in my wallet.

Next up is my digital camera. Although I use my phone to take most pictures, I like to keep this in my bag just in case! I have the Nikon Coolpix camera, which takes really good photos and is lightweight!

This may seem silly to carry around in a purse, but I love my harmonica! I like to take this out if I hear a good song and I try to learn it on the spot. It's so fun and reminds me of my trip to Texas, where I bought this at a Cracker Barrel restaurant! (My favorite place to eat, ever!)

I got these (huge) sunglasses from Nordstrom BP and I love them! They pretty much cover my whole face and they fit very comfortably!

I carry around this guitar pick just in case. I might need it for playing, or just in case someone else needs it!

This is my favorite gum ever! I always have candy or gum in my bag, which isn't the healthiest. Oh well! I love sugary sweet gums and this one is so good!

This is my conference manual from the Hillsong Conference I went to last summer in Australia. That was the best trip of my life and I like to carry this around as a souvenier!

This is probably the most exciting things in my bag! My mom gave me this Tory Burch makeup bag the other day and I absolutely love it! I love the size and the fact that it's patent makes it easy for cleanups. It fits all of my makeup nicely and securely so that I don't have to worry about my makeup floating around and (potentially) spilling all over my purse. I'm going to do a separate post going through my makeup bag tomorrow as to not fill up space in this post! You might notice the colorful bottle on the top of my makeup that reads "Live Colorfully". It's my new Kate Spade rollerball perfume that I will be doing a review on very soon!

Last but not least, I always keep a journal in my bag. I love physically writing things down, as opposed to writing it on my phone. I also like to sketch and doodle, so I always need paper in my bag. I love this notebook because it has blank papers on the left side and lined pages on the right!

Well guys, that's my whole "What's In My Bag!" I hope you found it interesting and enjoyable as I had such a fun time going through my purse and writing this! Let me know what some of your must haves are that you always keep in your bag!
