October Favorites!

I can't believe how quickly October came and went! There are only 2 more months until Christmas and my birthday! Winter truly is my favorite time of the year and I anxiously await its arrival each fall! I had quite a lovely month full of new beauty discoveries along with rediscovering some old favorites as well. Let's hop into it!

Bobbi Brown Rich Chocolate Eye Palette

This palette has got to be the best $52 I've ever spent! Although I have a full review here, I would still like to applaud Bobbi in her amazing job with the Rich Chocolate collection. The formulation of the shadows is incredible. They glide on like a dream and are buttery soft. Even though I use every single shade in the palette, my favorites are the glitter shade (in the middle) and the medium brown (second from the right). This palette is the only thing I need to create gorgeous smokey eyes for everyday! I highly highly highly recommend it!

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation

An old favorite of mine, this foundation found its way back into my daily makeup bag this month! Its extremely lightweight texture and natural finish is lovely especially in the warmer weather that we've had recently here in Hawaii. I've been loving mixing VA with my Laura Mercier Silk Creme for a flawless, long lasting base.

Rimmel Stay Matte powder

I've had a long lasting love-hate relationship with this powder, but I must say that it's been good to me this month! Although it doesn't make my foundation last all day, it does help it to last a good 5-6 hours without touch ups!

Real Techniques Domed Shadow brush

Even though this is an eye shadow brush, it works like a dream at applying concealer! When I have the occasional spot or redness that my foundation didn't cover, I know that this will apply my concealer flawlessly! All of Sam's brushes are synthetic, so they're easy to clean and apply product beautifully!

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze

A new discovery of mine, this cream shadow helps my smokey eyes to last up to 16 hours without creasing! The color is beautiful and looks lovely just on its own as well. The texture is very thin, yet extremely blendable. I will definitely be picking up more of these Color Tattoos!

Chanel Joues Contraste in Rose Petale

This peachy-pink shade is absolutely gorgeous for fall! The slight golden shimmer running throughout adds a beautiful highlight to the top of my cheekbones. It definitely has a hefty pricetag at $43, but it's worth it! The shade selection and the smooth formulation of the Chanel blushers are unbeatable.

Guerlain Meteorites Perles in Teint Rose 1

This powder highlight is the most gorgeous highlighter I've ever seen in my life! It's also my biggest splurge item in my makeup bag at a whopping $58! The colors mixed together create a glowing finish to add to foundation. Its fragrance is absolutely beautiful and is pleasent to the nose as it is applied.

Rimmel Moisture Renew lipstick in Rose Blush

Despite the bright red color in the picture above, the actual lipstick is a gorgeous rose color. I bought this shade whilst searching through Target for a natural lip color, as I found that the ones I have are all red! It has a beautiful shimmer to it, which creates a soft sheen to the lips. The lipstick is extremely moisturizing, so it feels like a lip balm gliding on. On the other hand, the moisturizing finish also means that the lipstick doesn't last very long. Although the staying power isn't amazing, the shade selection and texture of the lipsticks are, so I give this lipstick two thumbs up!

Chloe Eau de Parfum

This beautiful, chic perfume has been my signature scent for the past year. The smell reminds me of my trip to Washington DC, so wearing it is very reminiscent for me! The bottle is absolutely fabulous, with the blush pink ribbon on top!

What are some of your favorite beauty and non-beauty favorites from October?

Face of the Day #2

Today's Face of the Day is a brown smokey eye with a hint of bronze and some berry lips and cheeks. I'm always on the lookout for a smooth, long lasting foundation, and this Bobbi Brown one is lovely! (Thanks mom for letting me try it out!) My new obsession lately is my Bobbi Brown Rich Chocolate Eye Palette, which is limited edition for the fall. The whole Rich Chocolate collection is absolutely beautiful, so I couldn't wait to get my hands on the palette! It's full of beautiful chocolate browns and matte shades, which are my favorite! I'm definitely going to get my money's worth on this beauty.

Bobbi Brown Rich Chocolate Eye Palette Review + Swatches!

Hi guys! I'm back today with a review of my brand new Bobbi Brown Rich Chocolate Eye Palette for fall! I've been waiting patiently for around a month to get this beautiful limited edition palette, so when I finally got my hands on it, I was absolutely ecstatic! This palette has my name written all over it, from the super sleek chocolate packaging to the gorgeously pigmented matte shadows and everything in between.

The palette is part of a beautiful fall collection from Bobbi and it's available at most retail stores. I bought mine at Macy's for $52, which I think is a great price for the amount of beautifully pigmented limited edition shadows included in the palette. I highly recommend this palette before it runs out!

September Favorites

Hi everyone! It's been far too long since my last post. August and September were absolutely crazy on my schedule and I've been too focused on school to have time to post, so I apologize for that. I'm hoping that October will be a little bit easier on my schedule so that I can post more frequently! I have quite a bit of drugstore favorites this month so let's just hop in to it all!

Skin and Body

PINK Sweet & Flirty Body Splash

Completely well named, this body splash has been all I've worn throughout the past two months. It's very subtle and reminiscent of the summer. The cute packaging is perfect for me to throw in my handbag or backpack for quick and easy touchups throughout the day. Overall, it's one of, if not my favorite Victoria's Secret body sprays!

Melaleuca Sei Bella Age Defying Serum

I've spoken very highly of this serum on my blog before and it's still my holy grail skincare product. Although it's anti-aging, it has cleared up my skin like never before. I've never had this clear skin before in my life. I highly recommend this to all ages and all skin types!

Maybelline Fit Me Stick Foundation

My new favorite foundation, this stick formula works wonders! I have extremely oily skin, so foundations tend to fade on my skin around the 5-6 hour mark. This one however, lasts around 16 hours on me! It's completely amazing!

Maybelline Fit Me Powder

After using the Rimmel Stay Matte powder for a while, I rediscovered this old favorite of mine. It keeps me shine free for 6 hours and it makes my base look amazing and glowing!

Revlon Matte Blusher

This blush is just incredible! It's the perfect natural color on my cheeks and I love how it's matte. The berry shade is perfect for the fall and it matches wonderfully with one of my lip favorites of the month!

Real Techniques Essential Foundation Brush

Even though this is the RT foundation brush, I find it to be the perfect size and shape for concealer! It pats the concealer into any problem areas with ease and blends it all in without looking cakey.

Sephora Pro #45 Mineral Powder Brush

Nearly 1 year later, I'm still going strong with this foundation brush. I use it everyday no matter what type of foundation I'm using and it gives me the perfect flawless finish.

NYC Shimmering Sands Palette

At just $4.99, this palette is great for a neutral everyday eye. The highlight shade is incredibly pigmented, and the medium brown is a really good creases color!

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Shadow Stick

I love this shadow stick for layering under the NYC palette. It leaves my shadow creaseless for the whole day and it's really pigmented for wearing alone!

Maybelline The Rocket Mascara

An old favorite of mine, this mascara has been great for long, full lashes everyday. It doesn't flake or smudge on my lower lashline, which is an added bonus!

Revlon Wild Watermelon Lip Butter

This lip butter has to be my favorite red of all time. It's extremely moisturizing and has so much color payoff! Whenever I wear this, I get loads of compliments on the shade and the beautiful sheen it has.

Revlon Berry Smoothie Lip Butter

A perfect match to the Revlon blush, this lip butter has been a great fall pick. It's a very subtle berry, so it works great with my everyday smokey eyes.

Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me

When I just want a hint of color and a lot of hydration, this is the balm I reach for. I love the smell and the beautiful shade of red!

Musical Instruments

Taylor 414rce Guitar

Although this is my dad's guitar and not mine, he still lets me borrow it whenever I want. Thanks dad! It's beautiful with a rich, deep sound that you can't find with any other guitar. I've been getting back into playing it daily, and it helps me to rediscover why the guitar is my favorite instrument to play.

Bluesband Harmonica

My harmonica is one of my favorite instruments of all time. It seems silly and childish to play but I love the fun and unique sound of it. I always have it in my purse no matter what!

Irish Whistle

My favorite present from my dad's trip to Ireland, this Irish whistle has annoyed my family everyday. Haha! I've learned loads of songs on it and it keeps me entertained when I do homework until 2 am!

Fujifilm Quicksnap Disposable Camera

I've discovered my love for film cameras recently. Although this is a cheap disposable camera from Walmart, it still gives off the same effect. Nowadays, everything is so quick and online, that I love keeping this in my bag and snapping pictures as I go, excited to see the finished product!

Pentax K1000 Film Camera

A true film camera, I've used this Pentax one for the past few months for school. I love developing and printing the film myself and waiting to see the end pictures! It's so fun to use older cameras and adjust all of settings manually, rather than just pointing and shooting.

If there's one thing you discover this month, let it be Kodaline, the amazing band from Ireland. I can't say good enough things about them, so I'll just let you all listen to them on your own and fan over them as I do every day!

Well that was a bit longer than I expected! I hope you all enjoyed my favorites and I want you to let me know what some of your favorite products were in the comments section!
