Intro To Bare Minerals

Bare Minerals is one of those brands that are household names among women nowadays. Their famous loose powder foundation is top rated world wide and can be found in the makeup bags of celebrities and makeup artists alike. Although I've never tried the brand's foundation, I've recently tried a bunch of products from their infamous line.

Starting off with the top contender and my favorite mascara of all time, the Flawless Definition Waterproof Mascara in Black never ceases to amaze me. The thin brush with short, plastic bristles grabs every lash and works the product into them for a naturally defined look. It never clumps and it makes the lashes look volumized and lengthened with one coat. BM's Prime Time is one of the best eyelid primer's I've ever tried! Although it doesn't work as well as my dearly beloved Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze, it still gives the eyeshadows something to stick to to make them last all day and night. The neutral color of the primer erases any veins I have on my lids and creates a clean canvas for the shadows that follow. I will definitely be purchasing a regular size of the primer when I run out of the sample! The High Shine Eyecolor in Meteorite is perhaps my favorite product I've tried so far from BM. The eye color comes in a small tube with a sponge tip applicator, which makes application a breeze. The bronze pigment is stunning and adds a bit of sheen to the eyelids. Paired with the brand's mascara, you've got an undone, sultry eye look. Continuing with the eye products, the Round the Clock Waterproof Eyeliner in the shade 4 PM is the most beautiful liner I've ever used. The rich eggplant color looks beautiful against brown eyes and works even better paired with the bronze pigment. When applied to a brown smokey eye, it adds a hint of color, which is something I've really been loving. The last two products are a pair I've been using together: the ID Face Color in Glee and the 2-in-1 Cheek & Eye Brush. I'm not really a fan of loose shadows or blushers, but I've found the face color to be extremely easy to apply. The matte plum shade is right up my blusher alley and pairs nicely with any lip color. I'll definitely be picking up some more of the loose face colors in different shades! Last but not least, we have the only brush I picked up. Although it's labeled a cheek and eye brush, I would never use it for the eyes, as the brush is really thick. The bristles are extremely soft and apply product very evenly. The shape of the brush allows it to fit nicely in the hand, which is always a plus in my book! These products were a great introduction to the brand's makeup and I know that I'll soon be picking up some more!

Have you tried any of the Bare Minerals makeup or tools? What was your experience with them?
