How did the month of June fly by so quickly? It seems like I just finished school and yet the next year of education is just around the corner. Trying not to speed up the summer process, I have a few bits and bobs of beauty and skincare to share with you as the month winds down.
I haven't been wearing loads of makeup because of the summer heat l so I've stuck to the basics: tinted moisturizer, concealer, mascara, and lip balm. The few products perfect my complexion without completely melting off my face. The Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moisturizer in Ochre is an absolute Godsend in this crazy heat. It has amazing coverage and looks practically invisible on the skin when blended with fingers, which makes it perfect for the summer time! It might sound crazy but I think this base product is my favorite "foundation" ever. I've gone back to my roots and picked up a new bottle of the Caudalie Beauty Elixir before going on my trip to San Francisco to act as a refresher and skincare warrior. I can't believe I tossed this to the side and never picked up a fresh bottle! I've been using it as a toner after cleansing my skin and it feels fantastic in the hot weather. It's an all around great product. Another skincare product that I've been loving is the Origins A Perfect World For Eyes Firming Treatment. Although it may seem strange that I'm using a firming eye cream, I think starting off with a great skincare regime is important at a young age. I would rather be using anti-aging products while I'm young than wishing I had when I'm old and gray. This eye cream is a gel formula that feels nice and cooling on the skin and it's the perfect size for traveling! Last but not least is one of the best of the bunch: The Body Shop Born Lippy Lip Balm in Strawberry. This sheer lip tint is incredibly moisturizing and has the prettiest sheen to it. It works double duty as a lip and cheek color, which is great for the summer time as it feels lightweight and fresh on the skin.
