The Blush That Lasts All Day

For the longest time I've stuck to strictly powder makeup products. I have extremely oily skin so a liquid bronzer or blush would have the tendency to slip and slide all over my face. However, the tides have changed recently and I've been using a *gasp* creamy cheek stain. The Tarte Cheek Stain in Natural Beauty has been my go to blusher as of late. The sheer berry rose shade imparts the perfect amount of color in one sweep but can be built up to a full coverage blush (as shown above). The product is housed in a plastic applicator, which makes application a breeze. I usually apply my foundation and concealer to my face and then sweep the blush on the apples of my cheeks before blending out with a Real Techniques Contour Brush. The blush adds a subtle glow to my face and looks like I've been out in the cold. The natural texture and finish makes this the perfect blush throughout the year.

The Body Shop 'Back to School Essentials'

Hi, my name is Noelle and I'm addicted to The Body Shop... I've never enjoyed a brand as much as The Body Shop. The natural, fair trade brand is stocked up with beautiful skincare and bodycare and luscious makeup for girls on a budget. I've used multiple makeup removers and cleansers from TBS, eyeshadows, bronzers, lipsticks, body scrubs, etc and I've loved each and every product. I don't know how they do it, but The Body Shop creates fantastic, ethical products that don't break the bank.

I picked up this 'Back To School Essentials' kit a few weeks ago and I've been incorporating the products in my daily regime. The Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash is hands down my favorite item of the bunch. It has a cooling mint feeling on the skin that clears the pores and removes any gunk from under my skin. Because it's targeted at blemished skin, I use this around every 2-3 days in order to deep clean my pores without stripping the surface of any moisture. The Camomile Gentle Eye Makeup Remover is another fantastic skin product. It's a cream based makeup remover that quickly and easily takes off my mascara and eyeshadow without leaving any makeup behind. The brand's Lip Gloss is a great dupe for the LancĂ´me Juicy Tubes without any stickiness. The color and flavor of the gloss is gorgeous and leaves my lips looking plump and pretty. Last but not least is the Kohl Kajal in Black. Although I'm not a huge mascara fan, I've really enjoyed using this one. It's creamy and blends really well especially when applied in between lash roots in order to give my lashes fullness and definition.

If you're heading back to school (or just want a cute pick me up), then stop by The Body Shop and grab a 'Back To School Essentials' kit with everything you need to look fabulous for the new school year!

Room Redecoration

I've finally finished my room redecoration and I couldn't be any more pleased with the outcome! I changed my bedding from a dark gray to a white comforter with ruffles on top of cerulean sheets. The white bedding adds more light to my room and looks chic against my white furnishings. A huge addition to my bedroom was my solid wood desk. I've been on the hunt for a desk for the past couple of years and my bargain shopper dad found this amazing one for $20! It has a lot of storage and is huge, so I can store all of my school supplies and blog trinkets without worrying about space. I've decorated my desk with fashion books, magazines, awards, and beauty products to inspire me while I'm blogging. I shared my inspiration bulletin board on the blog before, but I didn't explain my reasoning behind it. I decorated the board with gorgeous makeup looks, clothing inspiration, awards and certificates, and other mementos that remind me of days past. Of course I had to add my Baylor pennants around the room to keep me in check and remind me what I'm working towards. I purchased beautiful hanging lights for my room that I love to use in the night time. The lights are bright but add a nice glow to the room without being unbearable. The last additions to my room are possibly my favorite part. I framed a few of my favorite musical accomplishments and hung them throughout my room in order to reminisce and inspire me throughout the day.

The Emmy's Best Beauty and Fashion Looks

The Emmy's was television's night to remember and of course, the awards weren't the only topic of conversation. Although I'm devastated by Game of Thrones lack of wins (come on people!), I was still amazed by the gorgeous gowns and memorable makeup looks of the night.

A Jewelry Addition

It's no secret that I'm a huge sucker for simple and dainty jewelry. Whether it be a ring, a thin necklace or a bracelet, if it's chic and minimalistic, I'm all for it. My dad recently came home from a business trip to Boston and brought me this beautiful bangle from Kate Spade (similar here) and I couldn't be more pleased with it. Although I haven't worn silver in a while, it will be nice to sport this bangle with a few of my favorite rings of the same metal. The bracelet is gorgeous and chic and represents all that I love about Kate Spade! Thanks dad!

Hinge Top (similar here and here), Joie Jeans, Daniel Wellington Watch, Michael Kors Leather Jacket (old, similar here), Marc Jacobs Scarf (old, similar here), Nine West Flats

When my family and I were visiting San Francisco this past summer, we were thrust into absolutely perfect SF weather. Although I'm a huge fan of 50 degree wind chill by the Bay, it's nice to see the sun peeking out from behind the Golden Gate Bridge every once in a while. During the daytime, it was usually between 65-75 degrees and it was utterly blissful. I purchased this Hinge strappy tank at Nordstrom in SF and I was so pleased with it. This outfit was my go-to when the mornings were chilly and the afternoons were mild. I also loved the fact that I was able to sport my beloved Michael Kors leather jacket throughout the week!

Anastasia Brow Wiz vs. Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil

Up until about 6 months ago, I never paid any attention to my eyebrows. Besides the odd pluck here and there, I let those bad boys be. I always thought that I had bushy eyebrows that looked fine on their own until I discovered the Anastasia Brow Wiz in Granite. The brow wiz is an extremely thin mechanical brow pencil that makes it easy to fill in extremely sparse brows. The shade selection is wide and Granite is perfect for girls with deep brown-black hair like mine. It made my brows full and natural looking except when I was filling in the tail area. Because I suffer from short brows, I usually have to really fill in the end and the brow wiz often looked dark and fake when it came to the end half of the hairs. I used the wiz for a few months before I got my hands on the Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil in Dark Brunette. Dark Brunette is a nice shade for my hair because it's a bit lighter than the brow wiz, which makes the brows look more natural. The waxy nib on the end is thick and makes it easier to control the angle you want your brows to be in. The spoolie on the other end is the most thick and effective brush I've ever used. When it comes to achieving Cara Delevigne-esque eyebrows, the Hourglass pencil wins hands down. It makes my brows extremely thick and full without looking like I have a lot of product in the hairs.

Honolulu Night Market

If you're a fan of farmer's markets or eat the street, then check out the Honolulu Night Market! The market is every 3rd Saturday of the month that features food, fashion, retail, music, and art unlike any other "market" in Hawaii. There's no cover charge to get in and all of the food and drinks are reasonably priced. The huge diversity among the food and fashion lineups made it enjoyable and exciting to walk around the street experiencing new vendors and shops. The market is located on
683 Auahi Street Honolulu, HI 96813 from 6-11 pm for all ages. Featured above are some of the food that the market has including ice cream sandwiches, BBQ brisket, and fresh lemonade. Check out the Night Market if you're in Hawaii and want to have a fun Saturday night!

Noelle Eats: Tucker and Bevvy

While visiting Australia two summers ago, I learned a lot about the country, its people, and the food they enjoy eating. Of course my journey 'down under' resulted in me buying 20 bags of chocolate and a quick bite of Kanga Bangas (kangaroo burgers). My love for all things Australia has not dwindled and increased as I made my way to Tucker and Bevvy- an Australian brekkie and brunch cafe.

Tucker and Bevvy is a tiny restaurant with a lot to offer the people of Hawaii. From Tim Tam waffles (featured above) to Italian baked eggs, T&B serve brunch items that are sure to satisfy any hungry guest! My family and I shared the Tim Tam Waffle, was a breakfast item from heaven. The waffle was topped with crushed up cookies, smooth vanilla ice cream, syrup, and Tim Tams that melted upon contact with my salivating mouth. For my breakfast entree, I ordered the Roast Beef Hash which was possibly the most delicious savory breakfast I've ever eaten. There were loads of Prime Rib roast chunks on the bottom served with roasted fingerling potatoes mixed with red onions, and topped with two poached eggs. Although the mixture of prime rib and eggs seems weird, it was an amazing combination. Other noteworthy meals are the Italian Baked Eggs, the Aussie Brekkie, and Mushroom Rosti!

If you're in the mood for a different breakfast experience with a twist, head on over to Tucker and Bevvy- quite possibly the best breakfast restaurant on the island.

L'Oreal Paris Infallible Eye Shadow

*Please virtually raise your hand if you've seen a prettier, smoother gold shadow than this one* I've shared my thoughts on the L'Oreal Paris Infallible Eye Shadows in the past when using the Bronzed Taupe shade on my eyes. The affordable pressed pigments are hands down my favorite shadow formulations when compared to my high end palettes and individual shadows in terms of longevity, color selection, and formula. The shadows are densely packed and highly pigmented, meaning a little goes a long way. For $7.99, the shadows are the budget buy of the year in my TIN opinion. I love using Eternal Sunshine in the inner corners to brighten, swept all over the lid with a bit of mascara, or even on my cheekbones to add glitz in the summer nights. I can imagine using the light gold during the fall and winter time paired with natural skin and a red lip for a gorgeous party look on a budget!
