My daily outfits usually consist of a flowy top and jeans but this summer, I've been trying to pick up a few easy dresses to wear. My mom always buys the cutest dresses that keep her looking young and I would love the emulate that same style. These are two dresses that are perfect to wear in the summer heat without sacrificing polish. The yellow Free People dress is loose and flowy and would pair beautifully with scrappy sandals. I think it's the perfect outfit to sport on a picnic or out shopping. The multicolored Topshop sundress is fancier, but still has a laidback vibe that's gorgeous in the summer time!

Recently, when I was having a browse around Nordstrom Rack, I found this stunning pair of sandals from Coach. If you're familiar with the brand, you'd probably know how expensive their pieces are and these shoes were no different. I love the gorgeous detailing and the mixture of brown, black, and patterned leather on the shoes, which make them unique. They weren't as expensive as they usually are because they were priced by the Rack, but they still cost and arm and a leg. Even though I immediately fell in love with them and wore them around the store (no joke, I carried my shoes in my hands and walked around the store with these babies on), I had to say goodbye to them before I left. Maybe if I go back this week they'll still be there...

I recently discovered how much I love the store Eden In Love! EIL is a quite large boutique in Ward Warehouse that stocks beautiful clothing pieces, accessories, homewear, and the cutest supply of stationary. It's no secret that I'm a huge paper hoarder when it comes to notebooks and planners, so when I discovered the mass quantities of office products in the store, I was ecstatic! After searching through the adorable notebooks, colored pens, and folders and going "awww" 100 times, I found this incredible planner. The colorful book comes from the brand Ban.dō- a company that sells affordable paper goods in the brightest and most fun colors! I'm a huge fan of this planner and can't wait to purchase some more items from the site and Eden In Love!

These days, I've been keeping my skincare routine simple with only a few steps day and night. I've only been using three products at nighttime in order to replenish my skin but have added The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Serum into the mix. This serum is a lightweight gel that sinks in to the skin quickly and easily. The bottle is compact, which makes it easy for traveling and it contains exactly 1 oz of product. I apply my favorite Murad treatment on any spots, dab on a bit of eye cream, and then rub this serum onto my face. After that, I just add a couple pumps of my Clinique gel moisturizer. Although my skin produces its fair share of oil, I like to apply a good chunk of moisturizer to ensure that my skin is properly hydrated. This serum is the perfect in between step that keeps my face soft and supple without any extra grease!

After discovering my immense dislike for Times Square, I nearly gave up on New York altogether. Lucky for me, my parents strongly encouraged me to rethink my feelings and give the city another chance. Without the hustle and bustle of the tourist attractions, I found myself enjoying NYC more and more. We stumbled upon the perfect area for an open market during the weekend and I started to fall in love with the outer parts of New York that are away from the middle of Times Square. Here are some shots from one of my favorite days in the city!

I've had the same polish on my toenails for the past couple of months in the form of the Jenna Hip Nail Polish in Thin Mint. The Jenna Hipp polishes are really easy to apply because the brush is wide and the polish goes opaque in 1-2 coats. This is a beautiful Tiffany Blue shade that looks great in any season! It looks especially lovely when worn against a tan and light clothing colors. I love the Jenna Hipp nail polishes and can't wait to get my hands on more shades but for now, I'm sticking with Thin Mint!

Although I've only been to Boston, Massachusetts twice in my life, one of my favorite restaurants of all time rests in the heart of the North End. Trattoria Di Monica is a hole-in-the-wall Italian restaurant that houses approximately 30 people. It's recommended to dine in a two or four people party because of the small seating area and to eat before 6 o clock as that's when the dinner rush hour begins. One of Trattoria's famous dishes is their potato gnocchi, which is delicious, but my favorite is the Papardelle Bolognese. I would highly rate this restaurant for their incredible dishes, prime location, and friendly staff!

Last week my mom bought me this adorable romper from Topshop! The flamingo print on a turquoise background is perfect for the summer time and the low back makes it easy to throw on over a swimsuit. I paired it with my favorite white slides from J.Crew and my Dvf sunglasses for an everyday outfit to sport at the beach or the pool!

Whilst my family and I were vacationing in "The City That Never Sleeps", we went to see one of my all time favorite musicians perform live at Madison Square Garden! I've been a huge fan of Billy Joel from the time I began playing the harmonica in middle school. I don't remember exactly why I started to listen to his music, but I know that "Piano Man" struck a chord (punny!) in my musical soul at a young age and I've loved the musician ever since. When my dad told me that he purchased tickets for us to see the Piano Man in concert, I nearly passed out in excitement! Madison Square Garden is a beautiful arena and we had incredible seats. As soon as we arrived and found out that Gavin DeGraw was the opening act, my family and I flipped out. We've loved Gavin from the time One Tree Hill aired its pilot episode in 2003 and the strong, unique voice of the singer belted "I Don't Wanna Be" in the intro. He was an amazing performer and was the perfect choice to open up for the wonderful Billy Joel. The piano man played most of his hit songs such as "She's Always A Woman", "We Didn't Start The Fire", "The Stranger", "Uptown Girl", "Movin' Out", "New York State of Mind", "My Life", and of course, "Piano Man" (of course, I played along on my harmonica named Billy). The show was incredible and got even better when legendary guitar player Richie Sambora appeared on stage and played for the rest of the concert! It was definitely a night to remember!

I've never really shopped on ASOS before, but recently have discovered their beautiful clothing pieces at (often) affordable prices! ASOS is an online retail website that sells clothes, accessories, and shoes from many different brands. They ship worldwide and have a great return policy, which makes it hard for shoppers to put their credit cards away! I found this cute pair of distressed denim overalls from the website's own brand of festival clothing for under $70 and this gorgeous cream crochet dress from Misguided. I'm hoping to pick up a couple of pieces for school in the fall and can't wait to see what the site stocks next!

This past week I was lucky enough to spend the perfect day out with some of my closest friends. There are always so many things to do and see on the island and we spent mostly time rather than money! Mikayla, Kale, and I started out by exploring at Ho‘omaluhia Botanical Garden for a while and then drove to Lanikai Beach. After swimming in the late afternoon, we met Rachel for dinner at Zippy's (always cheap, always good) and then watched the sunset at Kailua Beach. We finished the night at Yogurt Mama and then drove home! It was the perfect relaxing day out!

I've been experimenting a lot with different hairstyles recently and have especially loved this braided ponytail look. My hair is naturally really curly and putting it up emphasizes my ringlets well. To create this updo, I start by sectioning off a three inch chunk of hair where my bangs are and leaving it to the side. Next, I grab the rest of my hair and pull it into a ponytail. I take the section in the front and french braid it until it's able to wrap around the ponytail and tuck it into the rubber band. After this, I pin any loose flyaway and the body of the braid so that it doesn't get loose. To accessorize my undo, I add some earrings (clip ons because I'm deathly afraid of getting my ears pierced) and am ready to go!
