Baylor at the NFL Scouting Combine

The NFL Scouting Combine is an elite seven day physical exhibit where college football players showcase their talents in front of NFL GMs, owners and coaches. The combine invites the best of the best of CFB where each player is ranked and judged on their speed and skill set. Baylor has sent multiple players to the combine in the past and this year, WR KD Cannon, C Kyle Fuller and QB Seth Russell were invited to Indianapolis. Cannon decided to forego his senior season in favor of a possible NFL spot. He exploded on the radar with an impeccable true freshman season, recording 58 receptions for 1,030 yards and eight TDs. Cannon slowed down a bit during his sophomore year, amassing 50 receptions for 868 yards and six TDs. In his final year, Cannon reminded the nation of his talent, totaling 87 receptions for 1,215 yards and 13 TDs. His insane speed and ability to leap over defenders makes Cannon special. Fuller was a rock of stability in his final season at Baylor as the only returning OL starter. Fuller was a two-time Big 12 honoree who used his size to lead the line. He has massive hands and lengthy arms, which is crucial to NFL OL. Although he's been a bit slow in the past, speed workouts and continued lifting will help boost Fuller's draft stock. Russell was the hero for Baylor football over his two year starting period. In Russell's breakout 2015 season, he completed 119 of 200 passes for 2,104 yards, 29 TDs and six INTs. Russell would have broken the touchdown record that year had he not broken his neck six games into the season. Even with one of the worst injuries, Russell continued to fight back to his full potential. He finished his last season completing 152 of 278 passes for 2,126 yards, 20 TDs and eight INTs. Russell is extremely fast, smart with the ball and has great instincts. He has an incredible vertical (replay the UT game to watch him float over a defender) and is physically tough, despite suffering many season ending injuries. Russell broke his foot toward the end of the season and will make his physical debut at the combine.
